For
this designer vanity, I took an existing piece of furniture,
cut a hole in the top for a sink, sanded and sealed the top
and sealed the doors and sides for the mosaic glass application.
After the hand-cut tiles were applied using Bond 527 glue,
I filed all of the exposed edges, grouted and sealed the mosaic
areas. The top is done in an intricate basket weave pattern
in green and green/gold/copper Van Gogh glass with the diamond
inserts in gold Van Gogh. The front and side sections are
in a "Nantucket" basket pattern in green/gold/copper
Van Gogh glass. The almond sink is by Bates & Bates and
the solid brass fixtures by Newport Brass.
